My Favourite Book Quotes

Happy Thursday everyone! I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my favourite quotes from books with you all. So here we go!

My favourite character from the Harry Potter series is probably Sirius Black and there is a quote from him that I have always adored.

“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.” – Sirius Black (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)

Another inspiring character from the Harry Potter series is Albus Dumbledore. He has gifted us with many quotes over the course of the books but one of my favourites is:

“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” – Albus Dumbledore (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone)

On to another one of my favourite series: the Shadowhunters books. I could sit here all day and basically write you the entire book, but I will force myself to just share a few of my favourites.

“Life is a book and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read.” – William Herondale (Clockwork Princess)

“It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them.” – William Herondale (Clockwork Prince)

“It means ‘Shadowhunters: Looking Better in Black Than the Widows of our Enemies Since 1234’.” – Jace Herondale (City of Bones)

“Only the very weak-minded refuse to be influenced by literature and poetry.” – Tessa Gray (Clockwork Angel)

“Sarcasm is the last refuge of the imaginatively bankrupt.” – Clary Fray (City of Bones)

There are so many quotes that i could add to this list but I’ll just add one more to see you on your way.

“To really be a nerd, she’d decided you had to prefer fictional worlds to the real one.” – Cath (Fangirl)

Thanks for reading! Leave me a comment with some of your favourite book quotes, I’d love to know. Until next week!

Sincerely,

B ❤
